Cunningham Wins against FC Dallas

FRISCO, Texas ? On Saturday night FC Dallas and Real Salt Lace has had it which gave Dallas a 3-0 win. This is also the day for Jeff Cunningham because he had his fourth multi-goal of the season and was instrumental in winning this game.

Real Salt Lake has now a record of 9-11-7. They are still three points behind Chivas USA and New England and they need to level it off to give the slot for the final playoff spots as there are already three matches left. Real have consecutive loses in their last games.

During the fifth minute of the game, Dave van den Bergh made a pass to Cunningham inside the penalty area. Cunningham fired the ball into the right side of the net 12 yards away and made it. Van den Bergh was instrumental in this win because of his guts. He sent the ball from outside the penalty box and kicks it through David Ferreira. Ferreira left Nat Borchers, Real?s defender in awe and Ferreira made a close shot on the left corner and made it again. The score was now 2-0 even it was only on its 10th minute game.

Cunningham went on to destroy the Real Salt Lake when in the 87th minute he capped another right-foot blast over the penalty circle and made him a record for his 15th goal. With it he is now tied with Conor Casey, the Colorado forward for MLS lead.

FC Dallas has now a record of 8-12-6 and kept their 7-0 home wins against Salt Lake. Dario Sala, FC?s goalkeeper has also earned an impressive record earning a season-high six saves. He was able to make a diving stop during the 41st minute to stop the shot of Salt Lake?s defender Pablo Campos from making it into the 6-yard box. However, Dallas Captain Pablo Ricchetti was out of the game and actually not included among the team?s 18 players eligible to play.
